Optillion was established in February 2005. We are a specialist Internet Marketing company, providing Search Engine Optimisation, Search Engine Marketing and Social Media Marketing services to businesses operating in the UK marketplace. Optillion is an experienced and innovative company that has achieved success for a range of clients, from small start-ups to large multi-nationals. Its directors, Paul Bibby and Gavin Walker, have many years of web development and e-commerce experience between them, and bring great insight to the practice of Internet Marketing.
Paul Bibby, Director
Born and educated in Nottingham, Paul Bibby has a BA (Hons) in Business Studies. Paul started his working life selling computer systems (in 1979!) and then moved into clothing manufacturing. He has been a company director since 1985 with responsibilities in various companies covering manufacturing, home and export sales, finance, environmental protection, training and IT. This wider business experience means he has an excellent understanding of the problems faced by clients in today’s market. A qualified webmaster and e-commerce professional, Paul started optimising web sites in 2000. Paul's interests include yachting, fly-fishing and DIY.
Gavin Walker, Director
Born in Ruddington and educated at schools in North Notts and Rutland, Gavin Walker graduated in 1991 with a degree in medicine. He worked as a doctor, local government officer and museum curator before gravitating in the late 1990s towards a career in website development and Search Engine Optimisation. Gavin is a Visiting Industry Expert at De Montfort University and teaches an Advanced SEO course as part of one of their degree programmes. His areas of special interest include website accessibility, the commercial applications of social media and the web development/Search Engine Optimisation interface. Wider interests include museology, poetry and forestry.

Optillion is based in Ruddington, a village which lies 5 miles south of Nottingham, close to the Nottinghamshire-Leicestershire border, in the heart of the East Midlands. Excellent road, rail and air links make Ruddington easily accessible to clients travelling from within the UK or from overseas.
Geographical coverage
The majority of Optillion's Internet Marketing services do not require much contact with the client and are available worldwide, provided that English is the client’s main language. Some Internet Marketing and Search Engine Optimisation services, particularly those involving training or consultancy, require spending significant time with the client or working at the client's premises and are therefore most suitable for UK based clients.
