Internet Marketing is an overarching term for the various techniques, used either singly or in combination, to:

- Manage the ongoing business-customer relationship

A search engine submission company may offer exactly the same services as one advertising itself as a website positioning specialist. Conversely, two self-styled search engine marketing companies may offer entirely different services – one offering pay-per-click management and the other organic search engine optimisation.
